Most of the County's communities are located within an hour's drive of Salt Lake City. That means easy access to the symphony, the ballet, theater, restaurants and the University of Utah. Brigham City is also nearly equidistant from Ogden to the south and Logan to the north. These cities, lass than a 30-minute drive, are home to Weber State University and Utah State University, respectively. Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge Come to the wilds of Box Elder's bird refuge featuring 72,000 acres filled with a wide variety of birds. Seen visiting this wildlife wonder are the rare tundra swans, the white-faced ibis and the western grebe. more info |
| Thiokol Rocket Display Two miles and a hundred years north of the Golden Spike site, the soled rocket motors of America's space exploration are on display, year-round. Thiokol conducts occasional testing that can be seen from the highway. Dates and times for these events are usually listed in the local newspapers. |

Willard Bay This sparkling body of water is a popular spot for boating, water-skiing, wind-surfing, sailing, year-round fishing, picnicking, camping and eagle watching or ice fishing during the cold winter months. |
