EDUCATION CENTER
The Box Elder County Education Center in Brigham City, Utah is located at the junction between Highways 89 and 91. This complex formerly housed two large retail outlets.
Utah State University Brigham City Branch Campus and Bridgerland Applied Technology Center are both located in this facility and provide concurrent enrollment for high school students and evening and day classes for college and technical degrees. These two higher education facilities currently have nearly 1,100 enrolled students.
Spring semester 2002 at Utah State University's Brigham City Campus numbered over 875 with an additional 200 concurrent high school students. USU Branch Campus currently provides programs to students interested in Associate, Bachelor, and Master Degrees.
The Custom Fit Training Program, administered by the Utah State Office of Education and delivered to Box Elder County through Bridgerland Applied Technology (branch campus in Brigham City at Box Elder Education Center), is designed to assist in business attraction, expansion and retention. Vern Gunnell, Coordinator for Custom Fit Training through BATC, is available to help new and existing companies with funding and planning their training needs.
